BLASI – ISM-8000/24VDC 8-channel multiplexer

The BLASI ISM-8000/24VDC 8-channel multiplexer provides centralized control for extensive Pantron through-beam light barrier networks protecting personnel across large TA-6/TA-7 industrial doorways and access zones. DIN-rail mounted in control cabinets, this advanced amplifier simultaneously powers eight IR-M12 transmitter/receiver pairs through plug terminals, multiplexing 4kHz infrared signals with 34ms cycle time to prevent interference between densely spaced beams monitoring wide openings up to 60m when using high-power ITA transmitters.

Menu-driven LCD interface of this 8-channel multiplexer enables individual channel configuration including 2 manual/4 automatic gain levels, light/dark switching, 0-60s delay timers, and light curtain mode consolidating multiple beams to single safety output. Master/slave synchronization supports up to 40 cascaded channels across multiple units for complete perimeter protection. Sensor control continuously monitors transmitter/receiver health while diagnostic screens display alignment status, contamination levels, wire faults, and performance metrics via multi-color LEDs.

Eight independent PhotoMOS switching outputs (60V/100mA, 36ms response) signal beam interruptions to Siemens PLC safety relays through WAGO terminal blocks, meeting emergency stop timing requirements. Separate alarm output activates on contamination thresholds while error output indicates internal faults. Analog output (0-10V) enables signal strength monitoring and external test input supports safety circuit validation. Operating from 24VDC across -20°C to +60°C, the ISM-8000 delivers fail-safe Category 2 performance for continuous high-traffic automation ensuring maximum personnel safety across Dubai’s demanding industrial environments.
