The RB‑M30_700 automatic high‑security bollard by Automatic Systems is a retractable anti‑terrorist bollard designed to stop hostile vehicle attacks at critical access points. These active bollards rise from the ground to form a physical barrier and can be lowered to allow authorized vehicle passage, combining robust security with flexible traffic control. The system is rated to stop a 7.5‑ton vehicle traveling at 48 km/h or a 3.5‑ton vehicle at 64 km/h, with impact resistance typically certified to standards such as PAS68 and IWA14, making it suitable for government buildings, embassies, and high‑risk perimeters.

Each RB‑M30_700 bollard provides a 700 mm obstacle height with a 275 mm diameter, installed in a foundation of about 1,400 mm depth or with a suspended‑kit option. The bollard rises in around 7 seconds and lowers in about 3 seconds, with an emergency‑rise mode that can bring it up in roughly 2 seconds. The system supports up to approximately 300 cycles per hour and 2,000 cycles per day, ensuring reliable high‑frequency use at busy sites while still allowing manual lowering via a local hydraulic pump during power failure.
